Quote of the day, from an article about the Raging Cow blog brouhaha:

Translation: Kids aren't as stupid as we thought.

  1. You know, the article actually hit a good point: the fake blog wouldn't have been so bad if it was just upfront about what it was doing.

    It's like that coolbeef4girls site, or whatever it was called.

    I'm not a huge fan of advertising, but if the content were engaging and honest, I wouldn't object. Music videos have been a successful way of advertising the albums from which their songs came, because they were interesting in content, and there was no pretense that the record company was trying to get you to buy the rest of the album.Dr. Pepper blew it with their undercover tactics. Plus, REALLY, Raging Cow just sounds gross...
